What's New: Scheduling That Knows You and Just Gets Smarter
We've been building hard since our last update, and this release is one of our biggest yet. Smarter scheduling, real preferences, and a handful of things that make the day-to-day of using Okthx feel noticeably better.
Here's what's new.
Scheduling That Actually Knows What You Want
The hardest part of scheduling isn't finding a time. It's communicating all the invisible constraints that live in your head, the ones you'd tell a real human assistant on day one and never think about again. Starting this release, Okthx learns them.
Meeting Preferences

You can now tell Okthx how you like to meet, by meeting type. Customer calls are different from 1:1s, which are different from team standups. For each type, you can set availability windows, whether you prefer virtual or in-person, how long meetings should run, and what time of day works best.
Scheduling Habits

Beyond individual meetings, Okthx now understands how you like your days to flow. Stack meetings back-to-back, or keep buffers between them. Add travel time around in-person meetings. Consolidate your 1:1s so they don't fragment the rest of your week. Set it once, and Okthx applies it automatically.
Some recurring meetings are sacred. Others are more like defaults. Now you can tell Okthx which is which, mark a meeting as protected and it stays locked, or leave it unprotected so Okthx can work around it when something more important comes up.
A Better-Looking, Easier-to-Use Okthx
Smarter Scheduling Requests
Scheduling a meeting used to mean knowing exactly what to say. Now, Okthx guides you through it, if your request is missing details, it walks you through a quick flow to fill them in. Once confirmed, it generates a kickoff summary so you can see exactly what it's working with before it reaches out to anyone.

Home Page
Thread filtering is unified so you can see exactly what you want without wading through noise. Keyboard shortcuts for the things you do most.

And a Mountain of Bug Fixes
Our Early Preview users have been incredible at surfacing issues. We fixed over 30 bugs across scheduling coordination (proposal flows, RSVP handling, rescheduling, time zone edge cases) and email threading (duplicate threads, message ID unification, orphaned handles). Keep the reports coming, everyone makes Okthx better.
A Real Calendar, Built Right In

This one is a big deal. Okthx now has a full calendar with day, week, and month views live, pulling from all your connected accounts, so everything is in one place.
The part we're most excited about: it's context-aware. Ask about a meeting, check availability, work through any scheduling request, and the relevant day snaps into view automatically. No tab switching, no context juggling. The calendar is just there, showing you exactly what you need to see.
It's the kind of thing that sounds small until you've used it for a day. Then you wonder how you did without it.
What This Adds Up To
Okthx is getting closer to what we always imagined: an assistant that knows your preferences before you say them, handles the coordination while you focus on everything else, and just works.
If you're already on Okthx, everything above is live now. If you're not yet, we're steadily opening up from the waitlist, and this is a great time to jump in.
As always, keep the feedback coming. You're building this with us. 🖤
