How to change my meeting preferences

How to change my meeting preferences

Your meeting preferences are the defaults your assistant uses when scheduling, things like how far out to look, how long meetings should be, and what subject line to use. Here's how to update them.

Getting there

Tap the menu in the top-left corner of your screen, then select Memories from the list. At the top of the Memories screen, you'll see a row of filters, tap Meeting Preferences.

Editing a preference

On Desktop hover over the preference you'd like to change and click the Edit button that appears.

On Mobile tap on the preference, then choose Edit.

What you can configure

Once the edit dialog opens, you'll see the following settings:

Description

Describe the types of meetings these preferences apply to (e.g., "1:1s with my team" or "external sales calls").

Duration

The default length for this type of meeting.

Naming Convention

How you want the calendar event subject to look.

Rough Time Range

When to aim for (this week, next week, within the next few weeks, etc.).

In Person or Virtual

Whether the meeting should default to a physical location or a video call.

Availability Windows

The times you're available for this type of meeting. Your assistant won't book outside these windows, and will always double-check that your calendar is actually free, too.

Make your changes, save, and your assistant will use the updated defaults next time.

Remember, you can always override any of these on a per-meeting basis by including the details in your request. For example, even if your default duration is 30 minutes, saying "Schedule an hour with Ava" will use the one-off value instead.
